THE FUN IN THE FIND: VINTAGE, MODERN AND DESIGNER'S CHAIRS

We are making beautiful furniture from vintage, recycled woods.  We enjoy it.  We love it.  Still,  nothing beats the thrill of finding genuine vintage or designer's pieces at the most unlikely places, amongst the junks, amidst the dust. 

Great fun too, to have them restored  and /or  reupholstered, reviving them in form to either reflect the spirit of the age or to creatively reinterpret them by giving a new meaning  to the past. That's what we are doing at SECOND CHARM.  It makes us feel like we have one of the most fun jobs in the world.

We share with you our finds of the day. Mostly chairs this time.  But what a find. We screamed with joy at the vintage midcentury modern chairs, the retro armchairs, the designer's lounge chairs, some beautifully crafted modern chairs, french armchairs, shaker style chairs, bentwood chairs and wrought iron chairs.

Characteristically and genuinely  midcentury modern chairs with that

Vintage retro 60's armchairs in solid teak. As is or restored.  Cushions and 

cushion covers available.  Matching 3-seater or 4-seater available

The famous swan chairs. Are they original?  I can't be sure but they come with

serial numbers at the base.  $200 each in original condition. If you google swan
 chairs,  you will love the beautiful multi colours in which they have 
been upholstered. Reupholstery works available.

Genuinely designer's lounge chairs.  Signed at the bottom, "Design Wolfgang Feierbach". Made in Germany. $250 in original condition.

3-seater vintage sofa, restored and reupholstered in dark brown - 

the colour of coffee  for Prashant who runs a coffee house in a 

conservation building. Other 3-seater and 4-seater vintage

 sofas available.  Upholstery works available.

Antique sewing machine legs painted in gold and purple as requested by Wendy.

 The top is a vintage wooden teak with glass  panel in the centre.

 A beautiful piece to behold.

Spindle back chairs repainted in sea blue for Anuska.  The midcentury table was 

originally teak stained.  We painted it white and distressed it as requested.

We were happy when Anuskha called and said she loved them.
