MAY DAY DELIVERY

Dear All

I worked on May Day, like most proletariats who do not have the luxury of offdays, even on the day that celebrates their contributions to the economy and capitalism. Made a day trip to Kuala Lumpur, leaving early in the morning and coming back just before midnite. Had to be in Singapore on Sunday, to lend moral support to my daughter, who is studying hard for her midyear examination. It would have been a lonely journey home with only 2 passengers on board the super coach, had it not been for the myriads of twinkling stars that accompany us all along the highway. I've forgotten how beautiful a star-studded sky especially over a darkened landscape of undulating hills and forests, can be. On nights like these, one tends to be philosophical about life.

Anyway, I had to be in Kuala Lumpur, to pick up Marc's wooden fixtures for his art deco wardrobe and Frederic's vintage cushion seats for his art deco armchairs that got stranded there. More so, my restorer, Haji Yusoff, brought in quite a number of restored pieces from the stocks that I delivered to him 3 weeks ago. He is hurrying the restoration works to clear space for his Al Azhar graduate son's wedding next month. The restoration cost is really burning our pockets.

Below are the restored pieces that arrived on May Day and a week before in Kuala Lumpur. Some have been sold or reserved. For my Singapore customers who are interested in the available pieces, just let me know. Late May, I'll be bringing down some furniture already booked to Singapore.
