Two young ladies came to SECOND CHARM, Singapore last week, both looking for vintage, retro dressers of the 60's. Both look for a small piece of less than 3 ft length which is quite difficult to find, as most of them are around 3 and the half feet. (about 42-43 inches in length) . Nevertheless, I'm using the opportunity to post here some of the vintage / retro dressers of the 60's -70's.
One outstanding characteristics of the dressers of the period is that most of them come in beautiful, colourful formica: pink, blue, green, orange, white, grey and brown. Seldom plain, they come in graphic designs, flower motives and even countryside sceneries. Below are some of the retro/vintage dressers of the 60's, mostly in teak wood.

A refreshingly lime green formica retro dresser. SOLD recently in Singapore with a matching 2-door teak wardrobe. The buyer begs me to look out for a matching bed!

An interesting white and grey formica retro dresser of the 60's. The latest addition to our collection. Comes with a rare matching 3-door wardrobe. Under restoration and should be available in 2 weeks time.
Though this dresser does not have formica, its a classic retro piece, slim and elegant and of solid teak. Makes a nice writing desk too.
Another solid teak wood retro dresser. Simple clean cut elegant piece. Comes with a matching bedside cabinet.

A retro 1960's teak dresser in rare formica, depicting countryside sceneries. The drawers are interestingly convex shaped. Currently being restored and should be available in 2 weeks time.
