ON THE STREET WHERE YOU LIVE - VINTAGE STREETS SIGNS

DEAR ALL

I had the opportunity to acquire original vintage street signs of Singapore, recently.Twelve pieces in all.   The length varies in size but the width is the same. They are also reversible.  Both sides carry the same name.

They are real collectibles in the sense that they can only be one piece of such thing as there can only be one street having the only name.  More than their rarity, are the memories such street signs evoke.  If you happen to live on one of the streets bearing the particular name, I'm sure you will be flooded with memories of the past, on seeing such signage. Perhaps, it reminds you of the family home, the place where you grew up and your first love. You may recall the people, the buildings, the daily activities, on such a street where you live. On these street signages, are embedded the sounds and scents of the past.
