SECOND CHARM FURNITURE - NO VENEER FOR US

Dear All

Someone wrote to me and asked how solid is the furniture we are making  and whether we use veneer.  For us, rest assured,  its solid wood, solid wood, solid wood all around, from the wooden frames to the the back of the furniture right to the shelves and legs.  We are allergic to veneer and plywood. The only veneer we accept is vintage coloured formica as they add beauty to the furniture. Still, we make sure that underneath the vintage formica, is solid wood. We don't mix wood.  We work on vintage, recycled teak which may not be perfect, but they are seasoned, matured wood that have lovely wood grains.  And combined with our classic  midcentury, scandinavian inspired designs, you couldn't have a more finer pieces to grace your modern homes.

There are some vintage and preloved pieces that we acquired that are made of other than solid old teak -  wood such as mahogany, rosewood, seraya, chengal, meranti in which case, we will let you know. Still, we make sure they are fine furniture, worthy of restoration and  lovely additions to our vintage and bespoke collections.

1.  All our prices are in Singapore Dollars.  

2.  For bespoke pieces, we need a timeline of 1.5 - 2 months. We will submit proper drawing,

     detailing specifications, to avoid misunderstanding.

3.  For restorations and reupholstery works, the timeline is also 1.5 - 2 months. Faster for loose

     upholstery works such as cushion covers and chair seats that can be hand carry.

4.  Delivery charge within Singapore is free for those above $2000.

5.  For our Malaysian customers, we do not charge transport from Singapore to our shop

     in Kuala Lumpur, but we do charge transport from our shop in KL to your home or office.

6.  For our overseas customers, outside Singapore and Malaysia, we will advise you on the shipping 

    costs.  The furniture will come with proper packing materials to protect it against long distance   

    shipment.
