VINTAGE GRILLS - OF SIMPLE AND INTRICATE MOTIFS

 Dear  All

I had the opportunity recently to acquire quite a number of vintage grills. Its our biggest collection ever.  They are really beautiful.  Come in different sizes - big, small, rectangle, square and semi circle.  But what is interesting about them, are the vintage motifs of these grills.  They range from simple art deco motifs to intricate flowery designs. They make great accent pieces for any interior. Keep them  as is or paint them, use them to hang your accessories, frame them or  back them up with mirrors etc. In creative hands, these vintage grills will turn into works of art.

Hope you love our latest collection of vintage grills.  For enquiries and reservation, do email us at secondcharm@gmail.com.  Better still, come over and visit us for  the best picks.

Also just for your information, we are now operating on two floors at the same blk 21 - level  #03-165 and level #05-165. It  is a combined space of almost 8000 sq feet to give you greater range and more choices.

Look forward to your visit.

GRASSHOPPER LAMPS - DEFINING MIDCENTURY MODERN AESTHETICS.

Dear All

A midcentury interior that we all love is really incomplete without  midcentury lamps. Its like a missing part to a puzzle. A void that needs to be filled, to be true to the spirit of the age.  And one of the classic representatives of the mid century lamps,  must be the famous Grasshopper lamp. Designed by Greta Grossman , it made its first appearance in 1947.  Slim, slender and tubular,  it appealed  greatly to the post war modernistic sensibilities and since then  the lamp has highly been  regarded as one of the most iconic of  mid century designs.

At SECOND CHARM, we create it with a difference. Originally the conical shade is made of  metal. Leveraging on our strength with wood, we soften the industrial look with the warmth and beauty of wood for  the shade while the stand remain in metal mode. You will love the lovely wood grains of the shade and the brightly painted stand that will complete your interior midcentury aesthetics
