INDUSTRIAL FURNITURE AS TRENDY AS MIDCENTURY MODERN FURNITURE

Dear All

Industrial inspired furniture, either fully made of metal or combination of wood and metal is currently as popular as the midcentury modern furniture. Combining both trends makes for an interesting modern interior - the toughness and ruggedness of metal and the warm ambience of wood. Somehow, the industrial inspired furniture reminds us of the industrial revolution that has modernised our life. At SECOND CHARM,  more and more customers are requesting for combination of wood and metal furniture. And we love to take the challenge of reproducing some of the vintage industrial designs. Below are some of our latest makings and more to come within the next few months.

An industrial sideboard custom made for an interior design firm's office.
L200 x D40 x H80 cm.  The metal is distressed and the wood top and
shelves are  made of solid teak with a rustic finish.

MORE VINTAGE GRILLS FROM SECOND CHARM-

Dear All

We didn't expect such an overwhelming response when we first brought in some old vintage grills.  I personally thought they were beautiful for their designs that range from simplicity  to intricacy.  I admire the effort of those who turn hard metal into such beautiful decorative patterns.  It is an art form in its own right. And like most art forms, they abound in creativity - from varying intricate designs that are inspired by nature to geometric patterns that are endless  in their variations.  They are being repurposed as hangers for potted plants, as dividers, as accessory holders or simply as decorative wall art.  Because of the great response and demand, we brought in our second batch.  I share with you below. Hope you love them as we do.

One of the most beautiful and elaborate pieces in our latest collection.
Makes a great divider. A relatively big piece that fills up a wall.

The vintage grill like the above .  Either vertically or horizontally placed, it
is beautiful in its own right.

Old cast iron door with intricate patterns. Naturally distressed and
has the mood of a piece from a ruined building.

Art inspired by nature.

Big bold flower pattern in green distressed

Green distressed.  Several pieces available.

Love these bells

Interesting geometric patterns.

 Simplicity at its best.
